Welcome to this week’s episode of Hot or Not! This week we will be looking at teams from the NHL and checking in on some notable streaks.
Hot: Colorado Avalanche – These bad bois have won 6 straight, including a convincing win against my Boston Bruins last night to the tune of 4-1. The Big Bad Bruins just got outplayed for 60 minutes, and any team that is able to do that right now gets a gold star for being a good noodle. (Another Spongebob reference, I know.)
Not: Detroit Red Wings – Maaaaaaaaaaaaan, do these Red Wings suck. These aren’t your mom and pop’s good ol’ Red Wings. No sir. These Red Wings have yet to take off. They have lost 9 straight, and only have 7 wins in 31 games played. Somebody bring back Babcock, these guys could use a wake up call. They will end up with the first pick in the draft this year.
Hot: Washington Capitals – These bois are 8-1-1- in their last 10 and on a 6 game winning streak as well. The entire team has been on a roll, with the offense having scored the most goals in the league. The depth on this team is unreal with all four lines showing out. Keep on balling out for D.C Caps.
Not: Columbus Blue Jackets – Losing 4 in a row ain’t a pretty sight. Neither are those jerseys, am I right? Seriously though, their offense is stagnant, only scoring 71 goals on the season, good for second to last place in that category. If the Blue Jackets want to even think about returning to the playoffs this year, that offense has to wake up. They also need to shore up that defense, and goaltending hasn’t been great as of late. They might be sellers at the deadline.
Hot: Boston Bruins – Although they suffered a tough loss to Colorado at home, these bad mamajammers have only lost 1 game on home ice in regulation. They’ve only lost 4 games in regulation period. They could use a nice bounce-back game against the Senators, but they are a legit Cup Contender. They are 3rd in goals scored and goals against. All three phases of the game are clicking, sans that game last night. 8-1-1 in the last 10 games. That’s all.
Not: Montreal Canadiens – 2-6-2 in their last 10. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Fuck the Habs. Claude Julian has been mismanaging this team all year. Somehow they are still in playoff hunt, but not for long if they continue at this pace. If they want to make the playoffs, they need to figure out the back end. Their defense has been porous. Bonne chance à toi. Baiseurs français (Put that shit into Google Translate, it won’t disappoint).
